The Municipal District of Acadia No. 34 periodically issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs), tenders, and other procurement opportunities for goods, services, and construction projects that support municipal operations and infrastructure.
Local businesses, contractors, and service providers are encouraged to review opportunities and submit proposals in accordance with the requirements outlined in each posting.
All proposals must be submitted in accordance with the instructions outlined in the specific RFP or tender document. Submissions received after the stated deadline may not be considered.

2026 - 2028 Gravel Haul RFP
RFPs are now being accepted for the 2026 – 2028 gravel haul program, which includes the loading and placing of gravel required for the 2026 – 2028 Road Program.
Please submit your bid on a cubic yard mile basis including a description of the loading and equipment you propose to use.
Please do not include the GST in your bid. The guidelines & time frame for the 2026 – 2028 Road Program are as follows:
- The program is to be coordinated with Chris Tucker, Public Works Coordinator.
- Bids can include either a 1–year rate option, and/or a 3–year rate option.
- All Regular Gravel (RG) miles, cannot start before May 23, 2026 and must be completed according to the needs and schedule of the Public Works Department and MD of Acadia’s gravel crushing schedule.
- The 2026 gravel haul must be completed by August 31, 2026.
- Penalties shall apply if work is not completed by this date, as per Policy 2310 – Gravel Program Policy
- All delivery of gravel for stockpile, spot and oiling are at the timing & discretion of Chris Tucker, Public Works Coordinator. He will give you advanced notice of these projects.
- All haul miles will be paid as per attached schedule, if you choose to haul loaded by a route other than the normal routes set out by the MD, you cannot claim for the extra mileage. Rerouting & extra mileage charges are only allowed withwritten approval from the MD. **Please note that detailed haul miles are not available for 2027 and 2028, however it is anticipated they will be similar to those approved for 2026.
- Please state if equipment can measure each load leaving pits, based on a weight per cubic yard; i.e. Loader bucket scalesor other scale type. (For Municipal Audit purposes, otherwise random trips over a truck scale may be required.)
- All gravel will come from our Empress and Bindloss pits.
- Only belly-dump trucks are permitted for use when spreading on the roads. End dumps can be used for stock piling.
- Proof of insurance (liability and WCB) will be required from the successful vendor
- NOTE: The spread rate may change depending on weather and road conditions. It is projected to be 40 – 50 miles of road at 100 yard / mile.

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any/all tenders. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted.
